IxiQuarks is graphical user interface (GUI) environment for live improvisation that allows for user interaction on hardware, GUI and code level. The ixiQuarks were made with the intention to be suitable instruments for live improvisation. The environment enables innumerable setups with flexible loading of tools and instruments. The ixiQuarks consist of different types of tools: basic utilities, instruments, effects, filters and generators.
ixiQuarks exist in 3 different forms: ixiQuarks, ixiQuarks Pro and ixiQuarks as Quarks library for SuperCollider. (ixiQuarks are written in the SuperCollider programming language). For non-programmers, we recommend ixiQuarks, for people that like experimenting with programming and write their own instruments as part of ixiQuarks, we recommend ixiQuarks Pro. For SuperCollider users, we simply recommend installing the ixiQuarks from the repository.

Para RedASLA el arte sonoro integra a todas las actividades artisticas que trabajan con el sonido como medio de expresión, otorgándole a la tecnología un papel relevante en el proceso creativo. El término trata de ser incluyente y no exluyente por lo que nos abstenemos intencionalmente de marcar limites específicos o tendencias estéticas. La Red tiene como objetivo incorporar ideas y maneras diversas de trabajar y componer a un ambiente de intercambio y promoción de proyectos y obras de sus integrantes.
Objetivos generales:
1) Establecer espacios permanentes para el desarrollo de vínculos e intercambio de ideas entre artistas que utilicen el sonido como elemento central en su trabajo creativo.
2) Fomentar y promocionar el arte sonoro creado por artistas latinoamericanos a nivel internacional y dar a conocer el trabajo de otros artistas en Latinoamérica.
3) Establecer contactos e intercambios con otras asociaciones artisticas con intereses similares.
4) La producción de encuentros, conciertos, seminarios, grabaciones, publicaciones y otras actividades relacionadas con el arte sonoro en Latinoamérica.
5) Convertirse en un centro de información sobre las actividades relacionadas con el arte sonoro a nivel internacional con énfasis en los acontecimientos en América Latina.
6) Servir como centro de apoyo general o institución de respaldo para los artistas que requieran de la infraestructura que la Red pueda ofrecer.
