Todos los sistemas totalitarios han acallado el ruido subversivo; origen de exigencias de autonomía cultural, reivindicación de las diferencias o de la marginalidad. (Clara Garí)

(Freedom of the City)” Since 1984 she developed many special multivoiced vocal techniques.

She has collaborated frequently with composers who have created works especially for her voice, including Henning Christiansen, Richard Barrett, Chaya Czernowin, Hans-Joachim Hespos, Sven Åke Johansson, Ana Maria Rodriguez and has performed with many ensembles and orchestras including ASKO, KNM Berlin, ELISION, and Münchener Kammerorchester.

FELICITY MANGAN

Felicity Mangan is from Australia, living and working in Berlin, Germany since 2008. In different situations being solo performance, with other players or installation Felicity plays back sound samples from an Australian native animal CD, either through a stereophonic system or often via hand-made speakers made from re-cycled and displaced objects. Felicity has played in US, Japan, Australia and Europe in different formations.

ANNETTE KREBS | Speaker

Kazue Taguchi and Annette Krebs will perform together a premiere for Ohrengala. It will be a live performance installation for one speaker with light/shadowstructures and objects moving slowly through the room.

KAZUE TAGUCHI | light/shadowstructures

Kazue Taguchi, born in Japan, lives and works in Berlin. In 1997 she finished her Bachelor of Fine Arts, Oilpainting and Lithograph Print in Japan. And in 2007 studied the Master of Fine Arts, Glass, at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond.
“Kazue Taguchi’s art and objects are a beautiful question in light and shadow with which she works in an impressive way. Her objects could range from massive to fragil metal and other material she decide to use for each installation, giving new meanings and creating new abstract light-situations of space magic and a own special world. We are looking forward to be with her flying shadows”

LOUP (FR) | BEST BEFORE UNU (GR)

LOUP | Electronics, drums and sax

For the lovers of instrumental and powerful destructive jazz, here we have LOUPClement Edouard, sax & electronics, and Sheik Anorak, drums & electronics.

“LOUP started in early june 2010. This duo was born to play with Rangda (Chris Corsano, Ben Chasny and Sir Richard Bishop) at Grnd Zero in Lyon on june 8th 2010. I (Sheik Anorak) was supposed to improvised with other musicians from Grnd Zero as an opening for Rangda, but instead I asked Clement to start a new improv/free jazz duo. And then LOUP was born”.

LOUP can be considered as an avant-garde free jazz duo. The meeting of jazz background (Clement Edouard) and noise (Sheik Anorak). LOUP is beyond jazz and beyond noise, something like a link between comtemporary music, free jazz and art….something like”comtemporary art/jazz”.

BEST BEFORE UNU | Live animation & electronics

“Intensive electronics found a visual counterpoint in the moving images, generating complex sonic-visual formations. While audio frequencies are analysed and passed into image motions, which in turn feed back to the music, a never ending circulation of influence travels in both directions. A journey through morphing landscapes and imaginary organisms, stimulating the audience to continuously perceive new associations.”

Antonis Anissegos (UNU), pianist, composer and electronic musican. He is member of the European Music Project and Ensemble Junge Musik and co-founder of the following musical units: Trio IAMA, Lynx, ddaA, KAYA and oneone. Mr. Anissegos collaborated with the video artist Erika Matsunami (OIO) and the dance company adlibdances.

Andreas Karaoulanis (BEST BEFORE) comes from a Computer Science and Animation background. His current work deals with interactive media design and animation. He has present his work in Museum Of London, Moscow, Paris and in various Galleries and spaces around Europe. One of his latest projects is bestbefore, an online interactive showcase blog with hundreds of daily visitors.

RAM.02: TWO SOLOS

1.
JÜRG BARILETTI (CH) Acoustic-lab.-top-mobile
http://www.myspace.com/bariletti

The swiss pianist and sound artist Jürg Bariletti was born and raised in 1968 in the Alps. He worked as a theater and film composer, conductor of improvisation workshops… and since 2000 lives and works as musician and piano tuner in Berlin. Increasingly, he is concerned with self-made electro-acoustic instruments, which now include his new sculpture designed “acoustic-lab.-top-mobile”.
Designed and constructed primarily from recycled materials and used as a magic box, a multi-functional toy box combining the superimposed intertwines electroacoustic parodies and blasting sounds into noisy and beautiful environments full of colors and musicality. This battery-operated with lighting provided, and sets the sound sculpture on a specially modified workbike mounted, which is also integrated together musically and a self-mobile, self-powered and ecological synthesis of the arts and forms. The mobile is in Berlin and occur on roads, parks, galleries, bars, movie theaters and smaller venues in action…

2.
ELS VANDEWEYER (BE) | Vibraphone
http://www.ausland-berlin.de/els-vandeweyer

Els Vandeweyer is a Belgian vibraphonist & composer currently living in Berlin, where she explores the middle-ground between classical, jazz and free improvised music. In Portugal she co-founded the IMI Kollektief quintet. In Oslo she worked with Ingebrigt Haaker Flaten and Paal Nilssen-Love. In Chicago performing by invitation with Ken Vandermark, Fred Lonberg-Holm, Kent Kessler, Tim Daisy and Jeff Parker among many others.

With her new repertory of compositions, combined with improvisations, Els can bring you in a remarkable sound world, far removed from that associated with a vibraphone by making use of different kind of preparations. These preparations include different types of gloves, distortions and sticks. The result is reather flowing and energetic than abstract.

“Unafraid of tradition, the IMI Kollektief mines rich territory with Vandeweyer’s vibes evoking the experimental zeal of the more adventurous 1960′s Prestige and Blue Note sessions.” – All About Jazz.
